Circular Strategies of End-of-Life Vehicles, Case Study: Pondok Cabe

The main objective of this study is to analyze the frameworks to tackle the growing problems of End-of-Life vehicle waste that is located in a parcel of land, in a circular manner. The increasing number of End-of-Life Vehicles will create future problems if not handled properly. Implementation of a circular economy as the strategy to reduce End-of-Life Vehicle waste is seen as a sustainable solution. Considering End-of-Life Vehicles as resources and commodities instead of a waste will help the economic condition of many communities and the rising problem of high numbers in vehicle waste. This study includes literature review about the growth of vehicles in Indonesia, End-of-Life Vehicles, and the Land condition to then correlate to the study of waste management and circular economy to eventually propose a working framework. This study will describe options to repurpose, reuse, reduce, and recycle vehicle waste from waste management centers that would create a branch of innovative products.
