This study aims to achieve informative and safe criterias that meets optimum configuration for façade mounted LED billboard in urban area. In urban context, static façade has shifted onto dynamic façade by mounting LED Billboard on its surface. Accordingly, color has significant role in LED billboard advertising since it defines whether the messages displayed is legible. From best practice, way to create legible message on LED billboard is by creating huge contrast in order to generate inviting content by appropriate color selection. However, the excessive contrast generated either on adjacent surface or foreground compared with its background environment potents visual fatigue and driver distraction that leads into vehicle crashes. Thus, LED billboard must have two criterias those are informative and safe to meet LED billboard optimum configuration. Informative criteria relates how the message displayed by LED billboard can be read well by spectators. Parameters measured by informative criteria are visual design and color contrast. Futhermore, safe criteria corresponds with visual discomfort generated by LED billboard. Parameters observed by safe criteria are color luminance, luminance, luminance ratio, glare, and dimming settings. To achieve those criterias then conducted workflow integration between field measurement and digital lighting simulation as a sequential process. Results of field measurement as output parameters of field measurement are used as input parameters within digital lighting simulation. In between, encoding and interoperability workflow are conducted. Encoding funcionates to generate easily understable code to maps parameters configuration. Meanwhile, interoperability workflow functions to convert field measurement data to digital lighting simulation tool. Ultimately, digital lighting simulation process is used to evaluate existing configuration compared to international standard and give recommendation to achieve informative and safe criterias
